April 5 Monday. Registration opens (Returning students see Faculty Advisors or University College Academic Advisors, new transfer students register by appointment with Registrar's Office Advisors); first year students register by appointment with the Office of Recruitment and School Relations. Transfer Orientation available online, contact Student Affairs, 326-2280.
June 10-11 Thursday-Friday. New Student Orientation: Dusty Camp - Session I. For more information, call the Office of Student Affairs, 326-2280.
July 8-9; 22-23 Thursday-Friday. New Student Orientation: Dusty Camp - Session II and III. For more information, call the Office of Student Affairs, 326-2280.
August 5-6 Thursday-Friday. New Student Orientation: Dusty Camp Session IV. For more information, call the Office of Student Affairs, 326-2280.
August 8 Last day for international students (students who are not U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents) to submit alternative insurance coverage. For more information, contact the Division of International Programs, 326-2282, iss@tamiu.edu, PH 301.
August 19 Thursday. International Student Orientation. For more information, call the Office of International Student Services, 326-2282.
August 20 Friday. Faculty and Staff Assembly. ALL TUITION AND FEES DUE. A $20 Late Fee will be assessed to students registering and/or paying after this date.
August 23 Monday. First Class Day.
August 27 Friday. Freshman Convocation. Final Late Registration Day; course changes continue through September 7 with permission of instructor.
September 6 Labor Day. Classes meet.
September 7 Tuesday. Twelfth  Class Day; last day courses may be dropped without record. December 2010 graduation applications and payment deadline. NO REGISTRATION BEYOND THIS POINT.
September 11 Saturday. National Remembrance Day. Classes meet.
September 17 Friday. Constitution Day. Twentieth Class Day. All tuition and fees MUST be paid in full to avoid being dropped from course(s) for non-payment. Reinstatement is not an option.
October 2 Saturday. AutMus Fest. Classes meet.
October 15 Friday. Mid Semester.
October 19 Tuesday. Mid-term Grades due.
November 1 Monday. Spring 2011 Registration Opens.
November 5 Friday. Last day to drop or withdraw from the University.
November 8-13 Monday. Faculty Evaluations.
November 24-27 Wednesday. Thanksgiving Holidays.
December 2 Thursday. Last Class Day.
December 3 Friday. Reading Day. No classes. No Exams.
December 4-10 Saturday. Final Exam period.
December 11 Saturday. Commencement; end of Fall 2010 semester
December 14 Tuesday. Grades due by 5 p.m.
